St Charles County Toastmasters was chartered in 2009, to fill the need for a community-based club in central St. Charles County that would meet in the evenings, or “after work,” for most its members. Since that time, it has earned 9 awards for club excellence from Toastmasters International.
The club has seen three of its members win district-level speech competitions, and go on to semi-final competition at the annual Toastmasters International convention. Two of those three members have won district level contests a second time, and all of them cite the club’s encouragement and coaching as important to their success.
Additionally, St. Charles County members serve, and have served, District 8 in leadership positions. Two current and one past member have earned the title of Distinguished Toastmaster.
The group is dedicated to improving communication and leadership skills, while having a good time together, and always welcomes guests and new members.
